English cottages are well known for their crooked walls, sloping floors and curved roofs. Anyone who has been inside one of these charming dwellings knows how virtually impossible it is to find a single straight line or plumb wall. However, in the beautiful Suffolk countryside there is a village where this feature is taken to the extreme and houses have really been defying gravity for more than 600 years .


In this visually captivating and informative video, I will take you around the picturesque village of Lavenham which, with its famous Tudor-era crooked houses, is deservedly considered the best preserved medieval village in the UK and explain why most of its houses are so wonky.
