The English countryside is a beautiful place, full of flowers, green hills and fairy-tale cottages. It has also been a major source of inspiration for hundreds of writers, artists and poets, not only in the UK.


The English countryside has inspired thousands of books and poems, many of which are masterpieces of British and world literature.
